Message From the CHAIRMAN

On October 2, 2017, the 21th Annual Opportunities Open will be presented by The Rotary Club of Dulles International Airport. Since its inception, this event has raised more than $500,000 for local charities dedicated to helping make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities. We are proud to continue that tradition this year with our support of The Arc of Northern Virginia, Every Citizen Has Opportunities (ECHO), ServiceSource and The Arc of Loudoun at Paxton Campus.

The Rotary Club of Dulles International Airport believes in supporting charities that fulfill one of the basic objectives of Rotary: serving others in the local community. As it has been for the last 20 years, 100% of the proceeds from the tournament will be distributed to deserving charities. We’re excited to continue the tradition started last year of expanding the number of recipients to include even more organizations whose objectives are consistent with those of Rotary International.

We are extremely pleased to be at River Creek Club. Located in Leesburg,  River Creek is the Washington D.C.’s first private, gated country Club community. River Creek has a Championship Ault-Clark 18-hole golf course that borders on the Potomac River and provides breathtaking views from its balcony.

We will begin our day with Breakfast, a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start followed by a North Carolina Barbeque lunch. We will offer a fully stocked beverage and snack cart with non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.  During our lunch we will celebrate with awards, Great raffle prizes and a fantastic Silent Auction.

There will be a lot of excitement on the course as well. Someone can win the car on the course when they get a hole-in-one.  Watch out for the helicopter when they drop the balls on the fairway. Someone can win big here!

We look forward to another wonderful event and hope you will consider joining us as a participant and corporate sponsor. For more information, visit our website at www.opportunitiesopen.org or call Pete Eisert at 703-318-8191. We hope to see you all on Tuesday, October 3, at this year’s event for a great day of golf, community and friendship.
