The mission of ECHO is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve their optimal level of personal, social and economic success. ECHO is a nonprofit that offers lifelong support for adults with disabilities. We provide skill building, job placement, day support and transportation. Our services empower individuals to be active members of the community.
ServiceSource is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to facilitate services and partnerships to support people with disabilities, their families, their caregivers and community members in order to build more inclusive communities.
In 1967, a group of parents whose children had special needs formed The Arc of Loudoun, a 501(c)3 organization, to start a preschool for their children when no one else would. The Arc of Loudoun has grown into a full-service organization with multiple programs that together provide an integrated and innovative learning environment for children.
The Arc of Northern Virginia was founded in 1962 and today represents and serves over 39,000 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD)–such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and rare chromosomal disorders–and their families in the cities and counties of Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, and Falls Church. The Arc of Northern Virginia is an organization that builds community opportunities for citizens with disabilities-across the entire arc of their lifespan-so that they may live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community. In short, “A Life Like Yours.”
In addition to these agencies, we also support the annual Loudoun County Fraternal Order of Police Cops n Kids event and provide college scholarships to local students who might otherwise find it difficult to attend college. The Cops n Kids event is an annual event where state and local law enforcement personnel take needy elementary school children on a $200 shopping spree for Christmas presents. Each year over 100 children have a very Merry Christmas as a result of this event.
